At the Palm Bay Animal Clinic and Oakview Animal Hospital locations, we offer veterinary care for “pocket pets” such as ferrets, rabbits, and rodents; including guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, chinchillas, rats, and mice.

We also offer limited veterinary services for avian and reptile species, and Dr. Paul has experience with pot bellied pigs as well. A large part of caring for these species has to do with their husbandry; making sure they have the proper housing, appropriate diet, and that their owners understand their natural behaviors patterns. Each species also has their own common diseases that require veterinary care, and we recommend annual physical exams to check for early signs of problems. If you are thinking of getting an exotic animal for a pet, please ask a member of our staff for more information about their specific needs, and get them off to a healthy start!
